A Bit About Me

With a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of newcomers,  I am a dedicated Settlement and Employment Counsellor at Indus Community Services. Leveraging a unique blend of experience, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers, I am committed to empowering individuals and families as they navigate their settlement and employment journeys in Canada.

I have gained special recognition from the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for my extraordinary contributions towards Afghan resettlement, a testament to my dedication and impactful work. My role involves providing holistic support, ranging from helping newcomers adjust to life in a new country to guiding them through the complexities of finding employment that aligns with their skills and aspirations.

Through tailored counseling, career development workshops, and one-on-one coaching, I equips my clients with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in the Canadian labor market. I excel at creating personalized action plans, delivering effective job search strategies, and connecting clients with the right networks and opportunities. His deep understanding of both the job market and the specific barriers faced by immigrants allows him to offer invaluable support at every step of the resettlement process.

Whether it's assisting with resume writing, interview preparation, or navigating local services, Asif approaches each client with empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to their success. His collaborative approach fosters trust and empowerment, helping newcomers not only achieve employment but also thrive in their new communities.

My work is driven by a desire to make lasting, positive impacts on individuals and communities. With a focus on creating inclusive and supportive environments, he continuously advocates for programs and services that promote long-term success for newcomers in Canada.
